The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater is a beautifully-restored treasure listed on the National Register of Historic Places that offers visitors a unique and visually stunning experience. The theater is located at 315 North Chestnut Street in the heart of downtown Lumberton. First opened in 1928 as a vaudeville and silent film house, the theater offers a wide array of programming including live touring performances, original productions, art exhibits, films, special events and rentals.

The Robeson Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) Consortium is pleased to present on International Overdose Awareness Day, a locally filmed documentary capturing the struggles and triumphs of opioids in the Robeson community. The consortium is a group of multiple agencies working together since 2020 to decrease the morbidity and mortality of opioid use in the community. Please join us at the esteemed Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater on Thursday August 31, 2023 from 6-8pm. The admission is free including movie theater snacks for your enjoyment! Lots of door prizes, and a “Recovery Tree” honoring those we have unfortunately loss through this epidemic. We hope to see you there!
