Main Street Lumberton is partnering once again with The Robeson County Arts Council to bring the Art Stroll to downtown Lumberton. The Art Stroll will take place on October 20th from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. and feature several local artists and musicians at various downtown locations. This event will allow people to take a walking tour of downtown Lumberton while engaging with community artists and visiting downtown establishments.
“The Art Stroll is a great opportunity for our community and visitors to become familiar with downtown Lumberton. In addition, it’s a great economic development strategy. Not only do we get to enjoy being downtown that evening, but we get to show off our downtown businesses and venues. Part of our vision for downtown is to have it serve as the focal point of cultural arts and entertainment. Our county has an abundance of artistic talent so the art displays and the live performances are the cherry on top,” said Sarah Beth Ward, Lumberton’s Downtown Development Coordinator.
This year’s Art Stroll will feature four musical acts: award winning classical composer Mark Andersen will be performing at the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater, located at 315 N. Chestnut St.; Pembroke resident and singer/songwriter Rob Cole will be performing at Adelio’s Italian Restaurant, 111 W. Third St.; Arione Strings will bring their blend of classical and African American Soul to Inner Peace Art Gallery, 302 N. Chestnut St.; and American Idol Golden Ticket recipient Alexis Raeana will bring her unique voice to Happenings on Elm, 605 N. Elm St.
Tickets for this year’s Art Stroll are $10.00 and are available for purchase at the theater during regular in-person box office hours 1-5:30pm weekdays.
