The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater is a beautifully-restored treasure listed on the National Register of Historic Places that offers visitors a unique and visually stunning experience. The theater is located at 315 North Chestnut Street in the heart of downtown Lumberton. First opened in 1928 as a vaudeville and silent film house, the theater offers a wide array of programming including live touring performances, original productions, art exhibits, films, special events and rentals.

On Thursday, January 9, 2025 A group of musicians will gather at the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater for a gala night of music and fun to benefit a wonderful cause, Franny’s Friends!  The music will be a loving tribute to animals and all proceeds will go to help place homeless animals in our area.  Please bring your friends and join is for this Twelfth Night after Christmas Concert.  Tickets for this special event are just $20 and can be purchased at the theater or by stopping by 219 Elm to enjoy a cup of coffee, a treat, or a wonderful shopping experience for the holidays.
