NCMC also strives to stimulate public support for the work performed by these facilities, and to provide a forum in which Council members exchange ideas and foster cooperation and improved communication with the communities they serve.
North Carolina Presenters Consortium: The North Carolina Presenters Consortium advances the performing arts through collaboration, shared resources and professional development because we believe in the power of bringing artists and audiences together for live performances.
League of Historic American Theaters: Founded in 1976, the League of Historic American Theatres (LHAT) is an international, not-for-profit membership association that promotes the rescue, rehabilitation and sustainable operation of historic theatres throughout North America. LHAT believes that historic theatres are irreplaceable social, economic, historic and cultural resources for their communities. The League defines “historic theatre” as a place of public assembly that is at least 50 years old or has cultural, historical, social or architectural significance.
