2025-26 SEASON SCHEDULE
TOURING AND ORIGINAL MAINSTAGE PERFORMANCES
The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater, located in downtown Lumberton, has announced its 2025-26 mainstage series of performances. All tickets will go on sale 1pm Monday September 15 while school show tickets to teachers for the theater’s annual Robeson County Christmas Show go on sale 1pm Thursday September 11.

This season marks a special turning point for the historic theater as it celebrates the opening of its new 9,000-square-foot annex expansion that includes the newly named “Carolina Ballroom”. With new lobby, concessions, special event ballroom and other amenities visitors will experience a new, contemporary setting that joins with the existing historic venue that first opened in 1928. Ticket purchasers for the Annual Robeson County Christmas Show will have the first opportunity to see the new addition.
Ticketing Information
Tickets range in price from $15 to $35, with special events priced separately. A Season Subscription: Purchase tickets to all 6 events of the season at the same time through our box office to receive a 20% discount. Senior, military, student discounts and Group Rates are also available for most events. For group rates and season tickets, call the box office at (910)738-4339. All ticket prices include 7% sales tax on nonprofit attraction ticket sales as required by the North Carolina General Assembly as of January 1, 2013, as well as all ticketing and service charge fees.
Tickets for the Mainstage Series can be purchased on-line by going to the theater’s web site at www.carolinaciviccenter.com. Tickets also can be purchased in-person or with credit card or cash 1 to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday through its administrative offices in the theater’s second floor (enter on Fourth Street side), or by calling the Civic Center at (910) 738-4339. When available, tickets can also be purchased at the door. Theater lobby box office opens for ticket sales one hour prior to performance.
The theater does not guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased from any third party reseller and recommends that tickets be purchased directly through its box office, etix.com or its website to ensure ticket authenticity and pricing.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater is a beautifully-restored 1928 treasure listed on the National Register of Historic Places that offers visitors a unique and visually stunning experience. The theater is located at 315 North Chestnut Street in the heart of downtown Lumberton. First opened as a vaudeville and silent film house, the theater offers a wide array of programming including live touring performances, original productions, art exhibits, films, special events and rentals. The most wonderful time of the year is back and bigger than ever! The Carolina Civic Center Presents the region’s best holiday tradition, “The 14th annual Robeson County Christmas Show,” directed by resident artist Kendrix Singletary. A dazzling holiday musical revue the whole family will love, from the toe-tapping dance numbers with the Civettes, to powerful performances by our youth and adult ensembles, state of the art projections and special effects, this heartwarming tradition is packed with music, magic, and memories. The theater will be beautifully decorated for Christmas, and of course, there will be special appearances by Frosty the Snowman, The Grinch, and Santa Claus! Join us for an opportunity to see our new annex expansion which includes our expanded lobby and purchase Eve’s Sweet Relief baked goods and hot chocolate in the new Carolina Ballroom.
Hit Men of Country

Love Country Music? You are in for a real treat when you come to see THE HIT MEN OF COUNTRY featuring five of the finest musicians who have performed, toured or recorded with some of Country’s greatest artists – hitmakers like Wynonna, Keith Urban, Trace Adkins, Lee Greenwood, Travis Tritt, Jason Aldean, Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama and more. This show delivers hit after hit after hit, including fan favorites like “God Bless The USA”, “No One Else” “Somebody Like You”, “Big Green Tractor”, and “I Swear,” plus great insider backstage stories that The Hit Men of Country share about their days on the road with the Country Legends they have worked with. It’s a Country Music lover’s dream come true!
USAF Heritage Brass

US Air Force Heritage Brass is an incredible 14-member, pioneering symphonic brass ensemble bringing the military tradition of brass, percussion, and elite vocals to the stage. As professional Airmen, the musicians are committed to inspiring patriotism, connecting with the public, and honoring our nation’s veterans through the power of music.
This concert is free and open to the public. General seating. Tickets should be reserved in advance and can be acquired at the door if still available.
Annual Bluegrass on the Blackwater Concert: The Country Gentlemen Show

Few names in the bluegrass world are as celebrated as The Country Gentlemen. Their harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary styles has made a lasting impact on the genre. Today, The Country Gentlemen Show, composed of talented musicians, carries the legacy of honoring the original band’s music and spirit. While the band honors the past, it also looks to the future. Their album “Yesterday and Tomorrow” is a testament to this, featuring new, original material that stays true to the style of the original Country Gentlemen. This project, especially poignant following Bill Yates’s passing, shows the band’s commitment to evolving while respecting the roots from which they grew.
Tickets are $20 adults and $15 students. This performance is partially underwritten by a grant from the Robeson County Arts Council.
Annual My Time to Shine Talent Competition
7pm Saturday April 11
Our hugely popular –and very competitive- talent competition. Includes all categories of talent – from singing and dancing to instrumental and more. Auditions will be held to determine who gets to showcase on our stage, with cash and gift prizes going to the top contestants and a grand prize of $1,000. It’s more than a competition; it’s a great show!

Directed by the theater’s resident artist, Kendrix Singletary, in the spectacular, special way that audiences have come to expect from the artistic team at the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater. The 1950s are out, and change is in the air! Hairspray, winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, is a family-friendly musical, piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance and deliriously tuneful songs. Hairspray is a musical based on John Waters’ 1988 film about a teenager named Tracy Turnblad who dreams of dancing on a local TV Show in 1962 Baltimore.
