DESCRIPTION:Balsam Range\n7pm Saturday February 26 \nThe acclaimed bluegrass group Balsam Range will visit the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater in downtown Lumberton for a 7pm Saturday February 26 performance. Tickets for the show are Individuals $25\, Seniors (65+) and Military $22. Students $10. Group discount rates of $20 each for groups of 10 or more when purchased in advance are available by contacting the box office.  There will be no refunds or exchanges for tickets sold. \nMasks will be required for admission to this performance but proof of vaccination will not be required. The theater will post updates to its web site regularly. \nTickets for the Mainstage Series can be purchased anytime on-line by visiting www.carolinaciviccenter.com.  Tickets also can be purchased in-person or with credit card or cash 1 – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday through the theater’s administrative offices\, or by calling (910) 738-4339. When available\, tickets can also be purchased at the door. Theater lobby box office opens for ticket sales one hour prior to performance. \nAbout Balsam Range \nReturning from previous sold-out performances at the Civic Center\, Balsam Range’s ascent to the top of the Bluegrass world has left a well-marked trail of success since the band’s inception. Balsam Range has left audiences spellbound while headlining major festivals from coast to coast\, selling out venues across the nation\, and appearing multiple times at the Grand Ole Opry. \nThe 2018 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year\, Balsam Range\, has become one of the genre’s most award-winning acts. Since forming\, the group has garnered 13 IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association)  awards on the heels of 9 critically acclaimed albums. Balsam Range has left audiences spellbound while headlining major festivals from coast-to-coast\, selling out venues across the nation and in multiple appearances at the Grand Ole Opry. The band’s latest album\, Moxie and Mettle was released in September of 2021\, has had 5 radio singles each to reach #1 on the national radio charts for bluegrass so far. \nPrior to the release of Moxie and Mettle\, the band’s album Aeonic debuted at #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass carts.  Always versatile\, Balsam Range also collaborated with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra Ensemble to record 2 albums\, the second of which\, Mountain Overture\, debuted on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart at #5 and the Classical Crossover Chart at #6. Their previous outing\, Mountain Voodoo\, debuted at #4 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart and remained on that chart for 45 weeks. Mountain Voodoo also was named IBMA Album of the Year in 2017. In addition to winning Entertainer of the Year in 2018\, Balsam Range vocalist Buddy Melton won IBMA’s Male Vocalist of the Year for the second time and bass player Tim Surrett won IBMA’s Bass Player of the Year for the second time.
